As promised, Emily sent over the photos she had of our engagement party and they are 10X better than the ones I had, so thanks Emily, you da bomb!
This was my favourite part of the whole party. I love baking and making and entertaining, and all this catering took a hell of a lot of organisation! It's a shame we didn't get photos of the food once it was all unwrapped! I'm hoping that my the lady who did our catering will share her TO DIE FOR quiche recipe so I can give it to ya'll. The pear, walnut and stilton quiche was absolutely divine! The flowers were by my mama, who can make the best out of anything. The flowers were actually bought from Asda earlier that day, so with 2 bunches of lillies (that unfortunately hadn't come out yet), a bunch of white roses and a couple bunches of gypsophila she made an arrangement that would have cost hundreds in a florist, for just £35!
Ok maybe this was my favourite part of the whole party, the dessert table! I could write about it all day long. We had a giant heart shaped pavlova, a lemon cheesecake, trifles, cupcakes, a killer cheeseboard (that Rob and I purchased from Paxton and Whitfield, the best cheese shop in the world!), chocolate soufflés, mini Baileys panna cottas in shot glasses, tiramisu, and probably a bunch more stuff that I can't even remember! It was just AMAZING! My cupcakes went down a treat, so many people asked for the recipe, you can find it here. I've also mastered a new buttercream recipe that I'll post soon, it's delicious!
We cheated massively on the Pimms front! A couple of months ago there was an article in Good Housekeeping comparing real Pimms vs all the other cheap alternatives. They rated in in terms of taste, colour, price etc and the one from Aldi came up top. I can honestly say I couldn't taste the difference! It's called Austin's and it's around £6 a bottle. That saved us £50 on the Pimms front! I peeled off long strips of cucumber instead of using normal slices and it looked pretty cool!
This is just a photo of the back of my parents house... With my mums wellies outside. You can't leave home without them in summertime in England!
Also, a huge thank you to my beautiful friends and family. Firstly, for your attendance. You all travelled far and wide to celebrate with us and for that I am so grateful. Secondly, for all the amazing gifts you bought us. I can't express our gratitude. I have never seen so much Cath Kidston in my life and you are all welcome into our home whenever you like to share it with us!
Finally, thank you to Rob, for asking me to marry him and making this all happen. Thank you for letting me open all the presents and letting me have the Cath Kidston house that I want, even if you think it's 'twee'. Thank you for putting this ring on my finger that I still spend the majority of my day looking at in different lights. And thanks for making me the happiest girl in the world by asking me to be your wife. I can't wait.

Thank you for your sweet comment Sophie!
