Rob and I are still working on our summer to-do list and today we visited Bristol zoo and had a picnic, knocking two summer birds down with one stone!
You might have heard other British bloggers moaning about the weather. It's been pretty bad. We're used to rain and gloom, but it's just gone too far this year. It's been wet and miserable for the most part of 'summer' but today we had the first full day of sunshine in what seems like forever and coincidentally Rob had his first day off work in what seems like forever.
So we decided to go to Bristol Zoo and it was amazing. It was so good to spend a day just the two of us, and what better place than at the zoo! It was a brilliant day and if you live within reasonable distance of Bristol Zoo, it's well worth a visit!
Although there's no animal pics to follow (I don't know why I didn't take many...), you will find photo of me basking in the sun, the only cloud in the sky, Rob snoozing post picnic, the prettiest flowers I ever saw and us eating icecream.
When we got home we basked in the garden with Pimms and lemonade and our next door neighbours cat came and paid us a visit. She sunbathed with me for hours whilst I read. It was a beautiful end to a beautiful day.
Oh, and how could I leave out this photo of Rob as a red panda? Perfect.
